Our school day

Bevendean Primary School - Our School Day

Regular attendance at school is a legal requirement, it is your duty to ensure your children get to school everyday. We monitor all pupils lateness, absence and attendance levels. To be on time your child needs to be on the playground when the whistle blows indicating the start of the school day.

Infant children must be accompanied by their parent or carer and walked into the school playground. If you need to go to the school office or have medicine to bring in, please drop your child at the playground first.

Children do not need to be brought in through the school office unless they are late.

Should your child be too ill to attend school their absence must be reported to the school, before registration, in the morning by telephone or email.  Please leave a message on the telephone absence line or email: admin@bevendean.brighton-hove.sch.uk

Permission must be sought from the Headteacher for all absences other than illness. Please ask at the school office for an absence request form.  Please see the ‘Holidays in Term Time’ section of the school’s website.
